kind of a curse Jan 10 2003 By Nancy Price So I sit down to write a completely new verse Writer's block really is kind of a curse And how long is long enough? How many lines? And who wants a poem from someone who whines? I blink and I frown, throw my hands in the air squirm in frustration and bounce on my chair 'cause what's there to write about? I want to know and how can I justify rhythm and flow with no plot to speak of, no meaning to life, no revelations or tales of strife? I guess this is practice. I'm honing my skill. I'm making new artwork through sheer force of will. And when this is done and I'm showing it off people might even attempt not to cough So writing is easy (she said with a shock) just write a new poem about writer's block.
