A friend of a friend was found in the river
twenty good years and he's gone forever
down to the festival through the ravine
off on his bike and he'll never be seen
again and then the world was in mourning
buildings of metal with posters adorning them

For nine days I saw nothing but this stranger's face
in every window in every place
on every pole on every corner, everywhere I went online
the volunteers were numerous, they gave their hearts and all their time
They beat the bushes, called his name and never gave up
and I knew that he was loved, in his life he had been loved
